HippoMoney Fintech Pvt. Ltd. ("HippoMoney", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website and loan advisory services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, phone number, pin code, income type, current EMI obligations, and loan requirements. We also collect technical information automatically, including your device type, browser, and pages visited. We do not collect your Aadhaar number, PAN, or bank account details through our website.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to assess your loan eligibility, match you with suitable lenders from our network, have a Loan Specialist contact you within 2 hours of your inquiry, and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share your details with lenders only after you have spoken with our Loan Specialist and agreed to proceed.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. We follow industry-standard security practices. Our staff access your data only as needed to service your inquiry.
Credit Bureau Enquiries
Checking your loan options on HippoMoney does NOT trigger a hard enquiry on your CIBIL score. A hard enquiry is initiated only when you formally apply to a lender, and only after your explicit consent.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as necessary to service your loan inquiry and as required by applicable regulations. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us at hello@hippomoney.in.
Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, and request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@hippomoney.in. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to ensure the website functions correctly. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect website functionality.
